The Comprehensive Cooperative Station List contains a single, minimal entry for each Coop station ID
in either MI3 or the Pre-48 cooperative station history database. Some of the older Coop stations may
not have Coop id numbers assigned. Many of the stations in Alaska, Hawaii, and the Pacific Islands 
established before 1948 are not included in the list at this time but will eventually be added.
The information included for each station includes identifiers and location information.
The file is sorted by State, Station Name, End Date, and Coop Station ID.
Stations with no noted state are at the end of the list.

NCDC STATION ID        8         99999999      076-083         Unique identifier used by the NCDC.

LATITUDE               9         x99*99’99”    085-094         Latitude in degrees, minutes, seconds, where “x” is blank or “-“.

LONGITUDE              10        X999*99’99”   096-106         Longitude in degrees, minutes, seconds, where “x” is blank or “-“.

ELEVATION              6         999999        108-113         Station elevation,in feet.

END DATE               8         YYYYMMDD      115-122         Last date for the station, set to 99991231 if station is active.
